  5. What are the benefits my organization can receive from participating In BES?

  6. Participation in Best Employers Study gives a unique opportunity for a company to compare itself with other participants, to receive valuable information concerning its internal and external situation on labor market. The benchmark groups are as followed: all BES participants, Best Employers, the relevant industry (depending on number of participants), European average. Any other benchmarks can be prepared on an individual request.

The Study measures employees' satisfaction concerning many different areas of working environment, gives information about employees and Top Management engagement level, examine HR processes, CEO's opinion and the synergy among different strategies and processes. Our analysis identify those aspects of working environment which have significant impact on personnel engagement level and at the same time pointing out those ones which need improvement. Many companies treat the Best Employers Study as every-year organizational audit which shows the company's current internal situation.

The Best Employers Study recognizes the best companies, but also gives a great opportunity to diagnose the situation in those organizations which intend to be among the Best. Possibility to compare your organization to other participants creates a possibility to recognize company's strengths and weaknesses and new organizational challenges.

What is also important, is the fact that participants do not need to choose between their own survey and Hewitt's study. Best Employers Study can be an excellent supplement to already conducted initiatives.

  7. What is the ranking method?

  8. Polish ranking methodology follows international Hewitt Associates standards. System components can not be changed or influenced by any company participating in the Study or the study organizator. We draw up the list according to a method based on score and weighting. The final position of a company is determined in 60% by employees' opinion and the rest 40% is defined by the result of the so-called Alignment score. The Alignment score is based on simultaneous analysis of several factors like business strategy, HR strategy, knowledge of employees' opinion, efficiency of the company's internal communication and synergy among these systems. Taking into consideration all three perspectives (Employees', HR Managers' and Top Management's) enables us to calculate the above mentioned Alignment score.

  9. What kind of questionnaires are there to be filled in?

  10. There are three questionnaires to be filled by each participant:

    • Employee Engagement Questionnaire (to be filled out by employees)
    • HR Audit Questionnaire (to be filed out by HR Department)
    • Leadership Team Survey (to be filled out by the CEO and Top Management of the company)

In order to be officially ranked in BES, participants must to fill out all three questionnaires. For companies which decide on partial participation (fill out only selected questionnaires), we offer the option to analyze the returned questionnaires and deliver a real feedback on their human resources management and employees engagement level including improvement proposals for the mentioned areas. However, the partial participants will not be officially ranked.

  13. How can be Hewitt helpful during the Study?

  14. We are fully aware that the HR managers' time is very expensive. Having that in mind we make significant efforts to reduce our partners' tasks. We help our participants on different stages of the Study: during implementation phase, organization phase (trainings, sample communication) as well as during collecting data (especially HR Audits).

  15. What kind of questionnaires can participant get?

  16. Both Employees Engagement Questionnaire and Leadership Team Survey are available in paper and online form. HR Audit exists only as electronic Excel Application. The possibility of using paper-based questionnaires is related to extra costs resulting from printing the questionnaires and extracting data to computer system. We truly recommend the online application taking into consideration costs and natural environment caring.
